CARP was initially located in the local community centre and shared the premises with local, sports, youth and other groups.

Two years later it acquired two portacabins of which it had exclusive use. Although it was fairly small, it gave an intimate atmosphere to the project and a feeling of safety.

The portacabin was situated in the Community Centre grounds of Killinarden.

Due to the smallness of the portacabins CARP received finances from the Cabinet Sub Committee an Social Inclusion of €1,000,000 for a new premises. South Dublin County Council and the People in Need Trust also contributed to the building.

CARP has worked from this building since March 2003.   It is a spacious building and well suited to the work CARP does.  The grounds in which this new building is situated are not up to standard.   CARP and the local Community Centre are discussing with South Dublin County Council how to bring the grounds around both centres to a satisfactory standard for parking, etc.   CARP are still awaiting the final tranche of their grant to finish off furnishing the building.   It has been held up due to complications between two statutory bodies.
